Jesus

More than two thousand years ago, Jesus asked His disciples this question, "But who do you say I am?"
How you answer this question can determine your eternal destiny.

Jesus is God's only begotten Son born of the Holy Spirit. He is fully God and fully man. Jesus was born of a virgin, as prophesied by Scripture. He was born sinless and lived a sinless life. He accepted death on the cross as a payment for our sins, rising from the dead on the third day. He revealed himself to many before returning to Heaven, as prophesied in Scripture. We believe He will come back to earth to gather those who follow Him to return with Him to Heaven.

John 1:1; Romans 1:4; Colossians 1:15; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16; Galatians 4:4; Philippians 2:8; 1 Timothy 2:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3-5; 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Salvation Doesn't Need to be Confusing

Depending on how you were brought up, you may have many different ideas about salvation. Maybe to you, salvation is what happens when you walk down an aisle, pray a certain prayer, or get baptized? Maybe you have grown up believing that salvation is only for good people and is dependent on the amount of good things you do? You might even believe that salvation is something you can lose if you do too many bad things.

Jesus doesn't want you to doubt whether or not you've been saved. That's why the Bible, God's Word to us, answers all our questions and tells us exactly what salvation is and is not.

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

  • If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

  • - Romans 10:9 (NLT)

How do you receive salvation?

Jesus saves you when you recognize, confess, and repent of your sins, trusting that Jesus has forgiven them all. When you believe and receive the truth of the Gospel, you're saved. It's as simple as that.

Salvation can't be earned.

Jesus paid for your salvation when He died on the cross for you. No amount of good works will get you into Heaven. Only a perfect Savior can pay the price.

Living Out Your Salvation

Following Jesus isn't a one-time event; it begins a lifelong journey of following Him. When you turn from your past you have a new life in Jesus, the old is gone and the new has come. Although no Christians are perfect, as you mature in Christ you will become more like Him.

I don't deserve Salvation.

Do you feel like you don't deserve salvation because of your past? The good news is when we confess our sins to God, He is faithful to forgive it all. His grace covers everything and He remembers our sin no more, scattering our sin as far as the east is from the west. Even when we fall down, Jesus is there to pick us up; His grace and mercy are sufficient.

Do my good works save me?

If you think you are saved because you're a good, moral person, the bad news is no amount of good works will save you. We are all born sinners. The good news is Jesus paid the ultimate price for you if you receive Him as Lord and Savior!

Am I saved by being baptized?

Baptism is good, but baptism does not save you. Baptism is meant to be a public declaration of your decision to follow Christ.

Are you ready to believe and receive God's gift of salvation, simply talk to God and commit your life to Him:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness for my sins. I believe that You lived, died, and rose again so that I could become a child of God. I confess You as my Lord and Savior and commit my life to You. I give You all of me, my past, present, and future. Take my life and use it. Amen."

If you prayed to receive Jesus into your life, let us know!
We want to celebrate with you and help you take your next steps as a child of God. If you have any questions, we want to help you in your new life with Jesus.

Baptism

Baptism is a personal statement of faith, not a tradition. It doesn’t make you a believer; it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ can do that.
