In His Time

Daniel 9:20-21 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill— 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.

·         God centered prayers keep our heart and mind on home.

Daniel 9:5-6a …we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened…”

Daniel 9:16a “Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill.”

Daniel 9:18-19 “We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act!  For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”

Philippians 3:20 (NLT) But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

1 Peter 2:11 (NLT) Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.

John 17:4,13,15-16,24  “I have finished the work you gave me to do (…) I am coming to you now, (…) My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. (…) “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am…”

Matthew 6:9-13 “‘Our Father in heaven (home), hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (The Kingdom of God is coming to earth) 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, (confession) as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Daniel 9:22-23 He (Gabriel) instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:

·         Prayer connects our spiritual gifts with our human efforts.

2 Timothy 1:6 (NLT) This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you...

1 Peter 4:10-11 God has given [maker] each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another [manner]. 11 … Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies [means]. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ [motive]...

Daniel 9:24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Romans 11:33-34 (NLT) Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! 34 For who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice?

Daniel 9:25-26 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

·         Prophecy is given to us so that we would be a witness to God when the time comes.

Nehemiah 2:5,8 (NLT) I [Nehemiah] replied, “If it please the king, and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.” And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?” And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.

Matthew 27:46,50 “It was about the 9th hour [time of the evening sacrifice], Jesus shouted [It is finished!] and he released His spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom,…[A new covenant]

Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.·       539BC Prophecy given to Daniel.

So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord. (500BC)
