Genesis 2:7,15-16 Then the Lord God formed a man[c] from the dust of the ground and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living
being… The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it
and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in
the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for
when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Matthew 4:18-22 (NKJV) And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two
brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the
sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make
you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him. 21 Going on from there, He
saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the
boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left
the boat and their father, and followed Him.

James 1:22-25 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it
says. 23 Anyone
who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks
at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he
looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and
continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be
blessed in what they do.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives
in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave himself for me.
1 Samuel 16:12b-13 And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is
he.” 13 Then
Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And
the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward.

2 Samuel 5:1-3 All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “We are your
own flesh and blood. 2 In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel
on their military campaigns. And the Lord said to you, ‘You will shepherd my
people Israel, and you will become their ruler.’” 3 When all the elders of
Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a covenant with them at
Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.

will send men who pour from pitchers, and they will pour her out; they will
empty her pitchers and smash her jars.
