·         Immutability means that God is unchangeable in his character, will, and covenant promises. 

Jeremiah 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

·         In his book, Knowing God, J.I. Packer summarizes God’s immutable characteristics in these six ways:

·         1. God’s Life does not change

·         2. God’s Character does not change

·         3. God’s truth does not change

·         4. God’s ways do not change

·         5. God’s purposes do not change.
