God is your personal shepherd.
Psalms 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
· 2021- May we let God be our own personal shepherd
Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Zechariah 4:6 ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
· 2021- Were God Guides God Provides
Matthew 11:28 “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
1 Peter 5:7 “ Casting all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you”
· 2021- The Shepherd provides His sheep with spiritual rest and nourishment
John 10:27-29 (NLT) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand.
· 2021- God restores us and provides us with direction in life
Romans 8:5-8 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
· 2021- God is with us and we have nothing to fear.
Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
· 2021- God is our protector
· “You prepare a table before me”
· Prepare= foresight and care
· Table= bounty (God has limitless resources)
· Before me= our connection to God is personal, intimate
· TODAY: God desires to refresh us and fill us with His Holy Spirit
· 2021- the Shepherds Goodness and Love is here for us
Romans 8:28 (NKJV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Revelations 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
