God’s heart is to seek and save the lost. Though we all make excuses sometimes, we have a purpose and a wonderful invitation from God to be on mission.

·         Ministry is when a Holy God meets the needs of man.

·         EXCUSE #1 – I don’t know how to share my faith

Luke 12:12 The Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what to say

·         EXCUSE #2 – I don’t know enough

·         EXCUSE #3 – I don’t want to turn them off or push them away

·         EXCUSE #4 – I don’t want to lose a friend or family

·         EXCUSE #5 – I’m too busy

·         EXCUSE #6 – It’s not my calling or spiritual gift

·         EXCUSE #7 – They won’t want to talk to me about spiritual things

·         EXCUSE #8 – They have already heard

·         EXCUSE #10 – Physical Harm

·         EXCUSE #11 – I can’t answer their questions

1 Peter 4:14 (ESV) If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

Luke 6:22-23 (ESV) Blessed are you when Men hate you,…  …and cast your name out as evil, For the Son of Mans sake. 23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven,…

Romans 10:13-15 (NKJV) For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are send? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who peach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Mark 8:31-38 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. 32 He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” 34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Jude 1:20-23 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, Romans says faith comes by hearing by the word of God. James says we should not only be hearers, but doers of the word Praying in the Holy Spirit, Which makes it a two way conversation 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
