·         The Third commandment: Exodus 20:7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.

·         Only use God’s name when talking to Him or about Him.

·         “Who could read the third commandment without remembering to live for God’s glory”?

·         The heart of the third commandment is to elevate the name and reputation of God.

Matthew 15:8-9 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain

Philippians 1:27 (NLT) Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ.

·         God’s word is never in vain. His word always reflect His nature and produce results!

Isaiah 55:10 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Matthew 15:18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it;
