The more we become aware of the adequacy of God, the more we will spend time with Him. The more we spend time with God, the more we will become aware of His adequacy.

The
adequacy of God is the idea that our sufficiency comes from God, and that we
can depend on God for everything we need in life.
·
Is God
enough?
Romans 8:31-32 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,
who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he
not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Genesis 3:1-5 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God
had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any
tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the
garden, 3 but
God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the
garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 “You will not certainly
die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes
will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

The
truth is that all we need to live a life of purpose and fulfillment is found in
God, as revealed in His word.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of
the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of
your heart.
·
We miss
the blessing of God’s adequacy when we settle for lesser pleasure and delights.
1 Timothy 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor
to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in
God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
·
God
desires to be pursued by His dearly loved people.
Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
·
The more
we become aware of the adequacy of God, the more we will spend time with Him.
The more we spend time with God, the more we will become aware of His adequacy.
